Last month we were pleased to hear that our Smiley has been renewed for three years.
The Smiley is a quality label for food companies; it checks whether your enterprise works in accordance with the standards of the Federal Agency for Food Safety.
If you want a Smiley, you must implement a sound system that guarantees the safety of the food chain. That system is called an ‘auto control system‘. The implementation of this system has been required by law since 2005.
In order to get a Smiley, the auto control system must also satisfy several conditions:
– it must be implemented based on a specific auto control guide;
– it must have undergone a favourable audit performed by a certification/inspection body (OCI) that is recognised by the sector.
